HotelTonight – Book Your Seal Beach Hotel Today

Located in the northernmost part of Orange County, Seal Beach is one of the most charming little coastal communities in Southern California. Locals love Seal Beach for its easygoing beach town culture and its beautiful natural setting, and I quickly found that Seal Beach is also one of the friendliest cities I've visited. During a recent trip to Southern California, I was searching for a beach town that was nice, low-key and close to major attractions, and that's when I stumbled upon Seal Beach. This quaint seaside town offers genuine charm, and so many activities and entertainment that I started to get very jealous of the locals. By the end of my trip, I decided that if I were to ever move to Southern California, I would choose to live in Seal Beach, because it's simply one of the loveliest beach towns I've ever been to. I wouldn't have discovered Seal Beach without the help of HotelTonight, which made it so simple for me to find a great Seal Beach hotel in a matter of minutes. I simply pulled up the HotelTonight app on my phone and minutes later, I had a hotel room waiting for me in this idyllic beach town.

The Pier

There's something so romantic about going for a stroll on a pier, and the Seal Beach Pier certainly has an air of romance. From the edge of this wooden pier, I was able to see all the way to Long Beach and Catalina Island, and I spent the morning watching fisherman reel in their catches and pelicans diving into the water. I loved wandering down the pier so much that I returned later that night to enjoy a breathtaking sunset from the pier.

The Beach

It should go without saying that the main attraction in Seal Beach is the beach. The wide, sandy expanse of beach in this town is beautiful, and it's much less crowded than the other Southern California beaches I've been to. Locals take full advantage of their beautiful beach by going for runs, walks and bike rides along the boardwalk, as well as playing volleyball at one of the many beach courts. There are plenty of ways to get active in Seal Beach, and I certainly got in my fair share of fitness during my short Seal Beach getaway.

Main Street

The pretty tree-lined Main Street is the shopping and dining epicenter in Seal Beach, thus I spent a good deal of time exploring Main Street. There are over 100 local shops and restaurants on Main Street, and here you can find everything from jewelry stores and antique shops to art galleries and lively pubs. While I was in Seal Beach, I ate most of my meals on Main Street, and it was here that I met countless friendly locals who pointed me in the direction of their favorite shops, restaurants and activities in Seal Beach.

The River Trail

The San Gabriel River Bike Trail is a popular biking trail in Orange County, and I decided to check it out at the suggestion of some locals. This bike trail stretches 35 miles from Azusa to the coast, and it offers beautiful views of the ocean and the mountains. While I didn't ride all 35 miles of the trail, I was able to see a great stretch of the bike path and enjoyed the stunning natural scenery every mile of the way.

Naples

When I visited the little neighborhood of Naples, I felt like I had traveled to Europe. Naples is built on three different islands, and it features lovely little canals that are filled with duffy boats, paddle boards and kayaks. I decided to explore this unique little neighborhood the best way possible – by canal. I rented a kayak and paddled through the neighborhood, and it was certainly one of the most memorable parts of my trip. It's not often that you get to kayak past beautiful waterfront homes in Southern California.

There's so much to love about Seal Beach, and I am already hoping I can return someday in the near future.
