I was driving through Nevada on my way to visit some family in California and about halfway through my drive, I started feeling a bit worn out from the long drive. I decided to arrive in California a day later than planned and pulled off the highway in Winnemucca. I'd never spent much time in the city but was excited to see what the place had to see and do. Winnemucca sits in Humboldt County and is located in the north-west corner of the state. The town is near the Winnemucca Mountains and the Humboldt River. As soon as I pulled off the highway, I knew spending my day in the city was a good decision.

I was amazed at how many things there were to do in Winnemucca. Whenever I visit a new town, I love to experience the local history of the area so I decided to pay a visit to the Humboldt Museum. It was a fun experience to get a taste of the history of the area. After that, I decided to check out a local ranch that offers horse riding tours. It was a really fun way to relax and spend the afternoon. Spending the day in Winnemucca was just what I needed after a long drive.
The Food
After my day, I was feeling hungry and wanted to get something to eat. I wanted to get something to eat and decided to ask some locals where the best place to eat was. Several locals recommended a great local Mexican grill. I headed to the grill and was glad I did because the food was delicious. I ordered an enchilada that was perfectly made. The place also had great chips and salsa. I was so glad I decided to eat dinner there. I'll be sure to stop in again during my next trip to Winnemucca.
