HotelTonight – Book Hotels in Layton with Ease
I was recently in Layton on business and found myself with a day free after the last day of meetings was canceled. Instead of just heading home, I decided to push back my flight and enjoy a day in Layton. I knew I'd be able to easily find a place to stay thanks to the HotelTonight app, so I was free to spend a day exploring Layton and getting to know the city, without any worry of if I'd be able to find a hotel room that night.
The Area
Layton is a beautiful part of the state and is located in a perfect spot. It's just a short drive from major cities such as Salt Lake City and Ogden but retains a great small town feeling. The city is located in the Wasatch Front and is just a short drive from the Wasatch Mountains. It also is near the Great Salt Lake wetlands, which makes it a perfect town to stay in if you're looking for a place that provides easy access to the outdoors but still retains the comforts of a city.
Things to Do
There are so many things to do and see in the city, it'd be impossible to do them all in just one day. I started off my day in the city by visiting a local aquarium. It was a fun start to my day, and I loved being able to see all the different aquatic animals there. Then, I made my way to the mall and spent some time wandering in and out of stores. While I was at the mall, I noticed that there was an entertainment center near the mall as well. I decided to finish off my day by taking a drive to the Great Salt Lake Wetlands. I was amazed at how beautiful the area was and watching the sunset was a treat.
The Food
As I made my way back to the city, I was feeling pretty hungry and decided it was time to find something to eat. Layton is home to a lot of great restaurants, and I ended up eating at BBQ grill in the city. Everything on the menu looked delicious. Eventually, I decided to go with a pulled pork sandwich. The meal was great, and the staff was really friendly as well. I will be sure to come back there the next time I'm in the city.

After my dinner, I was ready to relax and decided to get a hotel for the night. Thanks to the easy to use HotelTonight app, I didn't have to stress about finding a place to stay on short notice. That night as I stretched out on my hotel bed, I thought back on my day and was so glad I made the decision to spend the day in Layton instead of just heading home. It was a great day and the perfect way to unwind after a week of business meetings.
